A group of middle-school inventors accidentally builds a soda-powered volcano that can cool the hottest summer on record.

The story
The science fair is supposed to be boring until three students combine soda, chalk dust, and a stolen weather balloon. Their volcano erupts with rainbow fizz that lowers the temperature wherever it lands. The city wants to bottle it, the school wants credit, and the kids have one afternoon to stop their invention from becoming a product.
