A Chilean engineer builds a temporary salt bridge across a drying lagoon and discovers the crossing appears in different years at once.

The story
The lagoon is vanishing, and Tomas has one season to prove a bridge can save the villages on both sides. At low sun, travelers step onto the salt and arrive years before or after they departed. The bridge becomes a route for supplies, farewells, and one impossible reunion with a daughter not yet born.
