The story
At mile marker 88, trucker Ruth watches a paper diner unfold in the sky. Anyone who climbs the ladder gets the meal they regret never sharing. Ruth takes orders, listens to ghosts who are not dead, and learns the diner will fold shut at sunrise unless one customer chooses the road ahead instead of the road behind.
