The story
Rust from horseshoes draws a shifting border across a monochrome field. A visible disruption forces immediate action, a second consequence changes the route through the world, and the final image leaves one specific unresolved choice. Local weather, labor, architecture and sound remain dramatic forces rather than decoration.
