The story
In a sinking port city, Alba leads a crew that repairs walls and promises. An elderly engineer teaches them to raise artificial tides with wood, salt, and bells. Each tide buys twelve hours of dry ground, but also displaces the water toward another family. The work becomes a moral decision before the sea.
