The story
Narin returns to her hometown and finds the old clinic full of brass mangoes ticking in baskets. Each fruit stops when a patient is in danger. Before the harvest festival, all the mangoes stop at once, and Narin must trust the old mechanic woman more than what she learned in the city, to hear what the village's body is telling her.
