The story
In a valley where harvests keep failing, children begin to lose the dreams that sustained their courage. At sunrise, the oldest scarecrow climbs down from its stake and heads through the misty fields to stop a quiet machine buried underground. The guardian learns what it means to be afraid even without a heart.
